“Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD” (Psalm 27:14, ESV)
“Wait!”
That word alone can cause us to tense up and tap our foot. Our hearts grow weary, and our minds focus on the “what if’s.”
Are you in a place of waiting? Are you crying tears of sorrow as you wait?
What are you waiting for? Test results? A decision? New friendships? An answer from God for something you have tirelessly prayed for?
God sees you in the waiting room.
He has taken account of your longings and has placed your tears in His bottle (Psalms 56:8). He does not miss one teardrop, friend.
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him (Psalm 37:7).
“God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything” (1 John 3:20, ESV).
Trust knowing that His ways and timing are perfect (Ecclesiastes 3:1; 2 Peter 3:8). Allow His presence to wash over you in your waiting room. Then, rest knowing He is trustworthy and faithful to answer.
Lord, You are aware of my needs and my heart’s desires. You hear my prayers. I ask You to grant me peace as I patiently wait for You to bring about Your sovereign plan—in Your timing. I choose to trust You with my future. In Jesus name, Amen.
